Sambonet, the historic brand famous for cutlery and table accessories, is involving some bloggers to reinterpret the use of its products in unusual situations.
My choice: Terra.Cotto
I have chosen a piece of Terra.Cotto collection, designed by Stefania Vasques, which perfectly represents in my opinion the intention of Sambonet to speak to an even wider audience and, at the same time, to work on traditional materials, as clay and cast iron, able to highlight unique flavours and take us back in time.
The forms drawn up by Vasques, however, are decisively contemporary and natural colors, inspired by iron oxides and lands, are typical of pottery, but at the same so modern.
Into the craft room
I put the cast iron Terra.Cotto in my craft room (which is more like a corner, actually!): its teal fits perfectly with the bright colours of yarn balls and of the other items I keep on the table.
And then I could not resist playing with food, handmade of course, but not edible in this case: I asked La Bottega delle Fandonie to send me a handful of beautiful ravioli brooches, hand sewn in felt. Their bright yellow makes a beautiful contrast, as well as the necklaces of my dear Dezayeppa, which I can’t do without.
