Hibi is a modern and updated version of a Japanese must, the incense.
It combines the fragrances of Awaji-shima island and the matches of Harima, in Hyogo Prefecture, in a totally new way, and making their use even easier: the incense is lit without flame, as actual matches, and then burn for about 10 minutes.
I had the chance to try them at home, after Maison & Objet, and I have to admit that they are fabulous: lemongrass and ylang ylang are definitely my favs, but also lavender, geranium and tea tree are excellent.
Hibi is part of The Wonder 500, selection of cool Japan designs meant to highlight “local products that are the pride and joy of Japan but not yet known outside of Japan,” and to promote them around the world.
