Some time ago I interviewed Ale Giorgini about Berga Urban Museum and the brand new Associazione Illustri. Today I write again about him, because he has always brillant ideas, thelast is Draweller.
What is Draweller
Draweller is the very first crowdfunding for which the author ask for iconographic references, instead of money.
Ale Giorgini explains:
Since long time I was dreaming to work on a world travel illustrated book, but it takes lot of time and lot of money. So I’ve decide to drawing it without moving from my studio.
Draweller is the contraction of drawing traveller.
How does it work
In order to help Ale Giorgini to reach his goal, just shoot some photos taken in the place you live in: no matter if it’s a small town or a big city. You can send images of squares, palaces, houses, churches, or even pubs, subway stations, monuments, the view from your window … Think about details: everything is ok, except your holiday pictures.
Then choose four images and send them before 31th July to draweller(at)alegiorgini(dot)com. There is no need that the photos are beautiful, because they are going to be just a reference for the illustrated tables.
You will also have the chance to win an original drawing from the book, a copy of the book or a package of goods from Camaloon printed with illustrations by Ale Giorgini.
I‘m already thinking about the photos of my beloved Turin and I think that this could be a super fun summer game: I submit now this idea to my friends! The challenge is open!
And you? I’m sure you are going to check the picture folder on your computer right now!
