The Macarons is a table lamp series designed by Davide G. Aquini and produced by IN – Progetti in Luce: the one you see here is the limited series recently presented at fuorisalone in Milano and inspired  by the pattern designed by the Eighties movement Gruppo Memphis, founded in 1981 by Ettore Sottsass with an international team of designers and architects.

I decided to pay an homage to this movement because I love the colors and patterns of this style, moreover now we are in a revival of the 80s and Memphis is the incarnation of the Italian 80s mood.

That’s why I would have call this collection: SO EIGHTIES!
