Jolene Carlier graduated in December at the Design Academy in Eindhoven with an astonishing project: Popcorn Monsoon is the popcorn machine of my dreams and I hope it will be produced soon.

The project has been inspired by the famous quote by Willy Wonka: Come with me, and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination, along with many other projects left only on paper. The Dutch designer has in fact started with drawings of shapes and colors, and then turned into reality this wonderful machine.

As explained on Dezeen, Jolene followed a reverse process of design as opposed to tradtional Form follows function, a process that clearly surprised her, because unexpected.
