A graphically beautiful game, perfect for the upcoming summer-not summer: it’s called Monument Valley and was developed by Ustwo Games.
The main character is a princess, Ida, going through mazes of optical illusions and impossible objects, in a dreamy and surreal atmosphere, which is somewhat reminiscent of Escher’s paintings.
This videogame is part of a trend that puts graphic design at the center of the experience: in this case the graphic style is inspired by Japanese prints and minimalist sculptures, with an obsessive attention to detail, so much so that every scheme could easily become a nice poster on the wall.
Even the sounds have been carefully designed and make the experience truly engaging.
A simple and addictive game, not too long and therefore perfect even for those who are not usually fond of videogames.
Too short? No worries, in 2017 the sequel Monument Valley 2 has been released and rumors says a third chapter is coming in 2020!
