This year I went for the first time (shame on me) to fuorisalone, an almost infinite set of collateral events during the Salone del Mobile.

First of all, I was there to meet, support, cheer and hug Valentina Daveri, author of the blog a day with V and my deskmate during the great Blog Lab. For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, Valentina has been one of the Ikea Blogin winners: the awards ceremony took place on April 10th at Teatro Litta, Milan, during the Design Week indeed (I wrote about it before, here, when I dedicated to her my #goldenwords).

The ceremony has been led by the award committee:

• Lars Petersson, Ikea Italia country manager
• Massimo Rosati, director of Design Street
• Giusy Silighini, director of Casafacile

The ceremony has been obviously a great occasion to meet other classmate bloggers: I always like to meet in person people just met online, even if it’s so difficult to me recognizing everyone…

In the morning, I went around Brera with Elena and Annalisa. I suddenly fell in love… I must admit that quality was not the highest, but the atmosphere was so lively, and the good company helped, surely! Before we started, we had a second breakfast at California Bakery.

After the ceremony we cannot wait anymore. We had to be, as soon as possible, at Merci temporary store, in Tortona area, in order to buy the brand new object of desire: the lamp *everyone* bought this year (and that you will see in a home restyling very soon). I was in good company again, with Valentina and Serena.

the lamp can be purchased on Merci web store, but right now it is “out of stock”… Wonder why!
